Lifeblob at Silicon India Startup City
This past weekend was an exciting time for all of us at Lifeblob. We had a stall at the recently concluded siliconindia Startup City 2010 event and we were pleasantly surprised with the response we got at our stall. This was a ideal platform for us to talk about the recently launched Lifeblob Store (http://www.lifeblob.com/store) where we sell personalized photo gifts such as calendars, mugs, canvas, designer photo frames and so on.
We, also had a dart game in the stall where people visiting the stall could try their hand at darts and win Rs. 1500/- worth of photo products from the Lifeblob store (http://www.lifeblob.com/store). The goal was to get the maximum points by aiming at one of the 3 zones on the dart board (which had different points). If they predicted it right they would get another turn. Else the game ends. More than 500 people participated in this game with many people scoring over 400 points and they walked away with discount coupons on the photo gifts. The winner Mr. Venkatarayappa walked away with the grand prize by scoring 710! Incidently, he had never played darts before!
Hope you all liked our presentation and the products we offer!

What camera should I use?
Photography is more about finding a great moment and capturing it in your camera, rather than a function of the equipment you use. It doesn’t matter what camera you use as long as you are excited to participate and have a knack of identifying a unique moment from the rest.
It goes without saying that you would do better if you had at least a DSLR camera in your hands, but no need to fret if you have a compact camera of a mobile camera since composing a great photo is 90% of the battle won.
Ulsoor Lake Blore Photowalk 27th Feb – Report
On 27th Feb, Pranav, Sidhartha, Madhusundhan and me went photowalking round the Ulsoor Lake in Bangalore. Since it was neither early morning nor evening, we had the park and the lake all for ourselves and we made the most of the opportunity! We got some great shots of the lake and the also got a few people fishing by the side!

Lifeblob Valentine Eve Photowalk Feb 13 – Report
We had our second photowalk on the eve of Valentine’s Day in Bangalore. We chose Shivajinagar- Commercial street area for our photowalk with the intent to capture the mood of Bangalore’s shopping scene on the eve of V-day.
From the street dwellers to Mega malls; the Shivajinagar-Commercial street area gave us an opportunity to capture the rich diaspora of shopping experience. From cheap china electronics to Kashmiri carpets, the Shivajinagar area has a lot of street vendors selling all kinds of stuff. I was accompanied by Sidhartha, Zeeshan, Prashanth, Rakshith, Vishwas, and Pranav.
Here are some photos from the walk.
Follow us @lifeblob for updates on future photowalks. Not from Bangalore and want to start photowalking at your city. Do let us know!
South by Southwest ( SXSW )
The first South by Southwest Music Conference and Festival (SXSW) was held in 1987 in Austin, Texas. In its 22 years, SXSW has grown from a tiny music festival in the Texas capital into a massive, unavoidable media beast that reflects, discusses and showcases trends in culture and media but also often creates them.
The 2009 edition of SXSW starts tomorrow and we bring you all the action on a SXSW timeline. Follow this timeline to keep yourself posted on the latest updates through the next week and if you are out there and would love to contribute, do give us a shout at contact@lifeblob.com.
